Anambra Market Set To Honour 90 Years Active Market Elders With Awards, Cash

Arrangements are in top gear in Ogbaru Main Market(Relief), Ogbaru Local Government Anambra State as they set to honour their active traders who have attained the age of 90 years and above.
Speaking with Newsmen in his office on the upcoming event,the President General, PG, of the market, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu disclosed that His Excellency, Governor Charles Soludo will be the special guest of honour
According to him, “Some of these elders are founding fathers of this market, we know that some may have died, that is why we resolve to honour the living who have done us proud with this market.
“This is the first of it’s kind and it is good to give honour to whom it is due because they deserve it.
“It is a unique occasion set aside to honour our active market elders that have attained the age of 90 and above. We will present to them, 13 in number, gifts that will include, Awards, certificates, cash and other gifts for their positive contributions towards the welfare and progress of the market.
“The celebration billed for 17th October, 2025, will enable us emulate good things and implement the good legacies left behind for us by these market heroes and heroines.
“It is expected that All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, chieftains, market leaders. Politicians, stakeholders, among others will be in attendance especially as Governor Soludo will be present.
“Soludo has done so much to the people that his second tenure bid is assured. Successive administrations have not been able to achieve what he achieved in less than four years,” Ochiogu disclosed.
