Anambra LG Chairman Pays Last Respect to Late Mother

The Transition Chairman of Awka North local government area, Hon. Thankgod Anago, has paid his recently late mother, Late Mrs. Ezinne Anago, the last respect. The burial which took place in Irunnebo Amaezike village in Mgbakwu, Awka North local government was well-attended in honor of the late Madam Ezinne’s noble memory of hard work and loyalty, exemplified by her son, Hon. Thankgod.

Late Madam Anago was a virtuous woman and devoted mother who lived according to her Christian beliefs until her death. Her burial rites commenced with an outing service at St. Stephen Church, Mgbakwu, and was followed by interment at her home.

In the end, Madam Anago was given a decent funeral with many friends and associates of her son traveling from different cities across Nigeria to pay her the last respect. The deputy governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze, deputy speaker, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, members of the State House of Assembly, local government chairmen, commissioners, and many other government functionaries were in Mgbakwu to commiserate with the Anagos.

Hon. Thankgod Anago has expressed gratitude to all those who came to stand with him in honor of his mother during the funeral and also prayed to God for his continued blessing on them all.
