Anambra: Lawmaker Empowers 250 Women, Gives Free Holiday Lesson To Exam students

In his bid to better the welfare of his constituents, the member representing Onitsha South 1 in the State House of Assembly, Hon Uzoma Eli empowered 250 indigent women with cash to start up something, so that they will be self-reliant, even as he reassured his constituency of more quality representation and dividends of democracy if reelected.

The lawmaker who is seeking for second tenure said that with the continuity, Onitsha south 1 will be better than he met it, stating that his achievements will speak for him.

” I organised free holiday lesson programme for all the students of my constituency in examination classes (Jss 3 & SS3 respectively,), which at the end of the programme, a performance evaluation will be conducted.

“During the last programme,32 best students emerged and were given educational grants and writing materials.

”There was provision of four new 300 KVA transformers which were situated at Patterson street/ father Joseph street, Abagana Street/ Uga Street, Ozubulu street/ Ofili Street, and Ebonesi Street / Nzekwu Ojudo street,” he stated.

“I also constructed two motorized boreholes and electric generators to power them, they are situated at Asor lane junction /Akunnia Njote woliwo, Alor Street junction/ Silas Works road, and empowered my constituents with shuttle buses and refrigerators, and many other achievements, which are verifiable” the Lawmaker added further.
