Anambra: Kidnapped Native Dr, PG, Others Pay Tribute As Hotelier Buries Sister

The popular Anambra State native doctor from Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, who was recently kidnapped, released and had two of his security men killed by unknown gunmen, Chukwudozie Nwangwu, called “Akwa Okuko, by his admirers, was among those that paid tribute to a hotelier, Chief Ifeanyi G. Onwupenata, owner of Kaima hotel and suits, who buried his sister, late Mrs. Josephine Chimezie Ogbogu, (nee Onwupenata).

Akwa Okuko who was the cynosure on arrival at the venue, waved at the spectators and mourners in acknowledgement of their greetings and made straight to the Chief mourner, Chief Ifeanyi, and they embraced themselves.

Ifeanyi who is the Obia omee Oba, described his late sister as a mother to him, adding that she left a vacuum that would be hard to replace.

“Today I am buying my elder sister,, she was like a mother to me, I am paying her the last respect, I lost her when she is needed most, but God will give us the heart with which to bear the loss.

Earlier, the uncle to Ifeanyi, Chief Reuben Onwupenata, who is the Onowu, (prime Minister), of Oba community, said that he trained and brought up Ifeanyi, his siblings and other members of the Onwupenata family.

“I trained all of them, she suffered from the sickness for about six months. I am 80 years old and I am not happy that I am alive and those that will bury me when I die are dying.

“If her death is what money would solve,, she would not have died. So l pray that her soul will rest in perfect peace. Her death is one too many” he stated.

Also reacting to her death, the President General, PG, of Aborji Akanano Union, Oba, Chief Dozie Nweke, urged Chief Obia omee and siblings to take heart adding that death is inevitable thing that will come when it will come.

Highlights of the burial ceremony was presentation of assorted items/gifts by Kaima Concerned friends led by Chief Mathew Madueke and others to the bereaved family.
