ANAMBRA GUBER: ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR NWANKPO’S GOOD!

0

It’s indeed not by coincidence that my major and Gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the upcoming Anambra Governorship election, Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo and myself are Ex-Seminarians (Umu Fada).

So, as “Nwa Fada” or “Son Of God” let me look into the scripture with recent happenings in our dear State, Anambra, in view. The Bible in the book of Romans 8 verse 28, said, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” The promise of this particular verse in the scripture that God works for our good “in all things” is reassuring. It means that no matter the circumstance, there are only two qualifiers for God to be working all things together for our good. Those who love God are called according to His purpose.

As “Nwa Fada”, Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo, though he did not end up as an ordained Catholic Priest, is called according to God’s purpose. Part of that purpose is the ‘Anambra Families First’ vision.

Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo, like his name connotes, has at all levels since he indicated interest to succeed Chief Sir Willie Obiano (Akpokuedike), shown that indeed “Aka Chukwu di na Anambra Families First vision”.

He said that the vision is based on the principle that if you want to develop anybody, you develop the family because a transformed family creates a transformed neighbourhood. Transformed neighbourhoods then create transformed cities. And when you have transformed cities, neighbourhood and family, you will have a transformed society.

With the Anambra Families First concept, Nze Nwankpo led ADC Administration will put the family at the centre of everything that the government is doing.

In his words, “You ask yourself, this thing that I’m about to do, does it affect the family because it is on the family that is the most important and discreet unit of the society. If that adminstrative society dies, everything dies. In our concept, we are going to address four fundamental pillars”.

“The first area is the ability of the family to care for itself, second area is the ability of the family to produce or provide either goods and services. If you look across the world, all the businesses that have done well across the world are family businesses. Businesses that start with family, grow with family culture and stand to become a global brand or strength. It is very important for us to grow our families into specialities, into the things that they know how to run. So that families come with a product or service. Now, and when that happens, you will see that family tradition goes behind the brand and from generation to generation, they can grow.”

“For me, a New Anambra will emerge as we will need to go back to promote family competency, family businesses, services and things that are branded round the family, then promote them to growth.
The next thing is peace, security, and organised living in any society comes from the family.”

“If a child is going to turn into drug addict or anything, it is when the family do not look at the child as he or she is evolving. So we need to help families to manage their children so that at any stage they can dictate to the society what problem that they are having with the child and can manage it within the framework of rule of law before it breaks down to a total out law in the system.”

“The last thing is partner for value drive in the society. A society is driven by certain structure of things. Those things are what we teach in education. Those values must be internalised in the family and then the family can then expand it as people grow into educational process that can achieve these structure of people. You now have people to go through six levels of interventions. The first one is education, health, enterprise promotion and there are so many things that come in to help the family to move forward.”

Following the squabbles occasioned by lack of internal democracy in the different political parties in Anambra, Ndi Anambra are daily embracing the ADC and Nwankpo’s Families First concept, which is making the coast to become clearer for the African Democratic Congress to emerge victorious in the Governorship election.

For a man that Akpokuedike had prophesied will go places, the APGA Screening Committee’s disqualification was only creating a new path. Like Joseph in the Bible told his brothers, who sold him, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…”. … God has a purpose for everything even the things in our life that seem to take our breath away and break our heart. Nwankpo has gently and quietly move on to ADC and like my father, Ogbuefi Chuma Odili, would say, “Anu na-enwero odudu Chi ya na-achulu ya ijiji”…all things are working together for Nwankpo’s good!

ADC…Kwem n’aka, Gwam eziokwu!

Ekenem!
