The Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Youth Empowerment Programmes, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, has facilitated specialist agro/farming business training, sponsored by the Government of China, for four Anambra indigenes. The training that is going to be held in China is a high-impact seminar on agriculture, agro-business, and farming and for this cohort, only fifty slots were reserved for Africa by the Chinese Government. The Anambra beneficiaries are; Udogu Augustine, Ude Arinze, Uju Muogbo, and Comfort Nwagbo. For the first lap of the programme expected to commence within the week, participants are billed to leave for China on Tuesday. Uju and Comfort are in this category and are now on their way to China for the training. Both will be participating in learning “Cultivation Techniques of Edible Fungi for Women in the Belt and Road Country.” This training will be hosted by Fujian Agricultural and Forestry University and will delve deep into the Junaco medicinal fungi spawn production.

Speaking before the participants’ departure to Abuja Airport from where they are billed to continue their journey to China, Dr. Omenugha asked the four participants to be good ambassadors of Anambra State, Nigeria, and Africa. He equally admonished them to show good example in learning and character, throughout the training which he said comes with exposure to the various strategic Chinese developmental strides. Also, Dr. Nelson Omenugha encouraged participants to learn as much as they can and also use the opportunity to network so that upon their return, they will also help train other agro-business owners in Anambra State.
