The special adviser to Anambra state governor on Disability Matters, Barr. Chuks Ezewuzie has commended the state government for its giant strides in improving the fortunes of people living with disabilities in Anambra state.

Ezewuzie said this during a press briefing with journalists at Women Development Centre, Awka, in commemoration of the governor’s seven years in office. He stated that the governor should be applauded for his numerous interventions in the plights of people with disabilities, noting that their inclusion into the governance of the state, through appointments, was a big achievement by the governor.

Ezewuzie extolled Obiano’s empowerment initiative aimed at equipping people with disabilities in various communities in the state with specialised skills to fend for themselves, saying the empowerment had dissuaded people with disabilities from street begging.
