The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke, could not win his polling unit for his new party.

Mr Okeke voted at Umueze Awozu, Enugwu-Ukwu Ward 3, Polling Unit 005.

Mr Okeke recently defected from the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to the All Progressive Congress (APC). He was one of many officials of the Anambra government who defected from the governor’s party.

Mr Okeke was, however, not able to win his polling unit foe his new party and its candidate, Andy Uba.

APGA’s Charles Soludo had 82 votes to win the unit while Mr Uba of the APC secured 61 votes.

  1. Still seems lots of indigenes didn’t come out to cast their Votes… During this election
..Even look at the low number of Accredited Voters 😪

  2. It’s funny that despite a defection,he lost his polling unit to APGA. Let’s just say chances were likely for ACP but haphazardly tampered by apathy. I’m sure Mr Okeke will re-defect if Soludo wins..lmao

    1. Mr Okeke has proven he is no difference from other gullible Nigerian politicians who care only for their selfish interest in reckless abandon of who and/or bears the burden. However, what transpired (outcome of the election) shows that the people has learnt to take the bull by the horn thereby, owning up to what is there’s.
This should be a lesson/reminder to other deceitful Nigerian politicians that the power belongs to the people. DEMOCRACY!!

    2. Good job to the people if Anambra

      You have decided well

It’s time for your solution and congrats to the winning Party and Candidate

      APC must learn a lesson

    1. “Oh how I wish I remained in APGA, look now they’re winning..this was not what i pictured” lol

  3. I don’t like the idea of jumping from one party to another just to seek a favourable positions. Politicians should understand that we are now politically oriented and we look out for something far important than the name of your party.

  4. In My own perspective , I just feel like APGA is Anambra itself, and the indigenes just flow with whoever comes through the party 💁‍♀️, buh then it’s their power and their choice .
For the Deputy Gov. to fail in his own very polling unit , probably his people don’t have his interest in mind again , they’ve made up their mind already, including the fact that he’s not in the ruling party , despite that he’s just not his people’s choice .
There’s no justification to this means .

    1. Exactly to me tge people just want to maintain their party but not wanting to know what the leader has done for them or not

  5. After defecting from APGA to APC, you loose at your polling unit.. Lol
    Interesting!
I can’t wait to hear the good news of APGA’s Victory
