Anambra Commissioner Receives SHE-Evolution Initiative Special Recognition Award from NAAS

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Anambra State, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, has been honoured with the SHE-EVOLUTION Initiative Special Recognition Award by the National Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS), Office of the Vice President, Faculty of Agriculture, Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
The award was presented on 24th June, 2026, in recognition of Mrs. Onyekesi’s exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, and remarkable contributions to social development in Anambra State.
The recognition was facilitated through Miss Nwokedi Irene Chinenye, Vice President of NAAS, who commended the Commissioner for her continuous efforts in advancing the welfare, rights, and opportunities of women and girls across the state.
Receiving the award, Mrs. Onyekesi expressed appreciation to the association for the honour and reaffirmed her commitment to promoting initiatives that empower women, strengthen families, and foster inclusive development.
This recognition further underscores the growing impact of her leadership and dedication to championing gender equality, women’s advancement, and social transformation in Anambra State and beyond.
