The Anambra State Government has commenced a civil service verification exercise aimed at strengthening personnel management, promoting accountability and improving efficiency across the state’s public service.

As part of the exercise, the Office of the Head of Service (HOS), on Aug. 28, conducted the verification of staff of the Ministry of Information and Value Reformation, with personnel presenting themselves and relevant employment records for validation.

The exercise, being conducted across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), is expected to update personnel records and provide accurate data for effective workforce planning and administration.

The verification is part of the broader efforts of the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, to build a disciplined, productive and responsive civil service capable of supporting the implementation of the solution agenda.

Beyond validating staff records, the exercise is expected to provide the government with a clearer picture of its workforce and support informed decisions on staff deployment, training, welfare and other human resource needs.

For civil servants, the process provides an opportunity to confirm their employment details, ensuring that their records are accurately captured in the state’s personnel database.

The government has consistently emphasised professionalism, productivity, transparency and commitment to duty as essential to achieving its development objectives and delivering quality services to Ndi Anambra.

The ongoing verification is therefore an important step towards maintaining a well documented and accountable workforce capable of delivering efficient public service.
