Anambra business mogul urges Soludo to include Ndiowu Community In his devtal initiative

A business magnate and philanthropist from Ndiowu Community, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Dr. Joseph Onuorah has extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his socio-economic giant strides in less than two years in office.

Onuorah who made this known while speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, also praised the Governor for his innovative leadership style which he said has changed the economic landscape of Anambra state positively, despite the harsh economic situation in Nigeria.

He noted that so many palliative measures initiated by Soludo geared towards cushioning the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy, which not only captured the people in the formal sector, but also covers those in the informal sector have scaled up social security in the state.

“The free basic education, free antenatal and delivery for mothers, reduction in the payment of taxes and levies, exclusion of petty traders from the payment of taxes and levies, employment of thousands of teachers, as well as entrepreneurial training and empowerment of 5000 youths with seed money among others, are some of the achievements of the Soludo administration that will remain indelible in the hearts of Ndi Anambra,” he added.

The philanthropist however appealed to the state government to remember his community in the scheme of things, especially on the infrastructural developments in construction of Oko-Ndiowu- Ufuma-Akpu-Ajalli road, which he described as one of the key roads that would change the fortunes of the town.

“The road was first awarded under the late Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju administration and was abandoned, re-awarded again under the immediate past administration in the state, and was able to do some parts of the drainage works.

“Unfortunately, the drainage work is now under the threat of erosion across the entire length of the road. But the road, if completed by the Governor, will explode the economic fortunes of the agrarian communities in Agbata – Ndiowu, Aboh Ihuana among others as demand will meet supply, there by generating economic prosperity,” he added.
