Anambra Billionaire’s Son, Daughter Docked Over Father’s Alleged Murder in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arraigned two children of Anambra-born billionaire businessman, Lucky Adimike, and a female accomplice before an Abuja High Court over the alleged murder of their father.
The defendants, Adimike Odirachukwu Anthony, Adimike Chinyere Stephany and Comfort Ajibade were on Monday brought before the FCT High Court 13 after police concluded investigations into the shocking killing that sent ripples through the Federal Capital Territory.
Police said the businessman was allegedly stabbed to death inside his residence in the upscale Guzape District on May 15, 2026.
According to the prosecution, the case came to light after a distressed family member alerted the Guzape Divisional Police Headquarters when repeated efforts to contact the deceased proved unsuccessful.
Detectives who stormed the residence reportedly found the businessman lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds in his bedroom. He was immediately evacuated to Karu General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.
The gruesome killing sparked an intensive homicide investigation ordered by the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi. Investigators initially arrested five suspects, including the deceased’s son, daughter, driver and gateman, as detectives worked to unravel the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack.
At the end of the investigation, prosecutors filed charges against Adimike Odirachukwu Anthony, Adimike Chinyere Stephany and Comfort Ajibade.
The trio was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on alleged criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide and offences under the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act.
Police alleged that the three defendants conspired to kill the deceased. Specifically, all three defendants were jointly charged with conspiracy to commit culpable homicide and culpable homicide in relation to the death of the deceased. Also, Adimike Chinyere Stephany and Comfort Ajibade were also jointly charged under the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act.
After taking their pleas, the court adjourned the matter until September 30, 2026, for further hearing and ordered that the three defendants be remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre pending the determination of the case.
The FCT Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to bringing perpetrators of violent crimes to justice, while ensuring that all suspects receive a fair trial in accordance with the law.
