Anambra Assembly Speaker, Others Salute ABS MD/CEO On Literary Excellence
The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uchenna Okafor has declared that the new book written by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Dr Uche Nworah is apparent evidence that Governor Willie Obiano has created a fertile atmosphere for everyone to prosper.
Right Honourable Okafor who came to the corporate headquarters of the ABS in Awka, to pick up a copy of the new book ‘Media Practice and Security Challenges in South-East Nigeria’, said that Governor Obiano’s historical achievements in the security sector has given birth to multidimensional breakthroughs, and helped even those in public offices to go beyond their jobs to making strong marks in other spheres of life.
Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that while commending Dr Nworah for the fine job he did with the new book, the lawmaker said that the author has added an important voice to both academic and professional learning.
On his part, the National Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene who also got a copy of the book, said that Dr Nworah takes credit for being the first media Head to run an egalitarian media space that allows all political groups to air their opinions, urging him to continue to leave exemplary footprints for young professionals.
Responding, the author of the new book, Dr Nworah said that the book is a practitioner’s experience of how journalists and media people operating in the south east have been able to brace the series of security challenges in the region in the recent past, adding that the efforts of Anambra State government at checkmating the trends could also be found in the one hundred and fourteen volumes.
