Anambra Assembly Speaker Okafor Lauds Obiano On Respect For Traditional Institution
The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor says Governor Willie Obiano has continued to show genuine respect for the traditional Institution in the State.
Speaking to newsmen in his office in Awka, Right Honourable Okafor maintained that the gift of SUV vehicles to all the traditional rulers in the State by Governor Obiano is a clear indication of his acknowledgement of the role of the traditional rulers in maintaining peace and order in their various communities.
The Speaker while commending the Igwe Alfred Achebe led Traditional Rulers Council in the State for contributing immensely to the development of the State, enjoined the traditional rulers to continue to give their full support to Governor Obiano to enable him sustain his good governance.
He expressed satisfaction with the peaceful atmosphere being witnessed in all the communities in the State, which he attributed to the dogged efforts of Governor Obiano in achieving maximum peace and security for Ndi Anambra.
Right Honourable Okafor, commended Governor Obiano for all his developmental strides in the State as well as deep commitment to the welfare of the citizenry.
