Anambra 2021: Ozigbo vows to emulate Obi if…
A gubernatorial aspirant in Anambra state, Chief Valentine Ozigbo, has pledged to emulate the former governor of the state if elected as the next governor in the state’s 2021 gubernatorial election.
Ozigbo said former Governor Obi touched all sectors of the economy when he was in office adding, “I will follow the prudent footsteps of Mr Peter Obi, the immediate past governor of Anambra state, if elected as the next governor.”
The aspirant made the assertion at Okpoko Community in Ogbaru local government area of the state during a town hall meeting.
He was a special guest to the town hall meeting organised by Chukwuka Onyeama, the lawmaker representing Ogbaru Federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.
Speaking, Onyeama expressed satisfaction with Ozigbo’s aspiration under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, adding that it was the party to beat.
The highlight of the event was sharing of palliatives in cash and kind to residents of Okpoko.
