ANAMBRA 2021: Our Leaders Must Subscribe To Transparent Primaries -Ifedi Okwenna.
Frontline Aspirant for the upcoming Anambra state Governorship election, Dr. Ifedi Okwenna has stated that, for PDP to win the elections, the leadership of the Party at both National and State levels must live up to their promise of conducting a free, fair and transparent primaries. Dr. Okwenna made this remarks while speaking at the recently organised 13th Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Stakeholders meeting which took place in Awka, Anambra State.
Ugwumba Osumenyi, showed appreciations to the BOT members of the Party, the Zonal and State Executives, for organising the event especially now that the election year is here. Such meeting according to Dr. Okwenna, will help to grow the unity, love and togetherness in the Party and among the aspirants, ahead of the PDP Governorship Primaries and the general elections.
He posited that it’s only when the Primary Election is free, fair and credible, will a losing Aspirant congratulate the winner and join forces to ensure the victory of the party.
Addressing the media at the end of the meeting, Dr. Okwenna thanked the former Governor of Anambra State and Vice presidential candidate in 2019 Presidential Election, Mr Peter Obi, for showing leadership through his speech and actions at the Meeting. He Stated that Peter Obi’s donation and proposed Ward tours will increase activities and enthusiasm in the party ahead of the elections.
