Amanuke Monarch: Igwe Dennis Seeks a National Day of Thanksgiving

His Royal Majesty Igwe Dennis Ezebuilo, Ogbuodudu 11, The Paramount Ruler of Amanuke Kingdom in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State has called on Christians across Nigeria to show love to one another this festive period and be thankful to God for the gift of life despite the challenges inherent in year 2020.

Igwe Dennis, The ogbodudu 11 admonished all Christians to imbibe the virtues of love, compassion, tolerance, sacrifice, generosity and peaceful co-existence as exemplified by Jesus Christ in words and deeds.

In his words, “This period should be a period of Thanksgiving and appreciation to God for his Mercies upon Nigerians at large, you will recall that this year came with a prediction from the western world that the streets of Africa will be filled with dead bodies due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus, the nation went on lockdown down and Nigerians were gripped with fear as the Nation’s medical sector did not have what it takes to combat the deadly virus,

However, God saw us through those dark months, As the dust of the lockdown was about to settle little did we all know that a protest that will shake Nigeria’s security apparatus was brewing, After the Protest, Soon after the end of the Protest, Nigeria was greeted with the news that our economy has slid into recession,

However, despite all the challenges which the nation faced, we all came out alive and well, therefore every Nigerian, irrespective of our religious affliation should use this festive period to give thanks to God for his Mercies. It is necessary for the federal government to declare a National Day of Thanksgiving”.

The Monarch who is greatly loved by his people, thanked all his subjects at home and diaspora for thier continuous prayer, encouragement and support to him and prayed God to bless and protect them in all thier endeavours and bring them safely into the new year 2021.

He maintained that the welfare of his people will remain his priority as he is committed to bringing an uneven development to his people despite the distraction from few disgruntled elements who are sabotaging the efforts of the peaceful Town.
