The Commandant, Police College Oji River, AIG Emmanuel Simon Bretet ,psc(+)mspspon Monday urged residents to sustain their support and continue partnering with the Nigeria Police Force to enhance effective policing, promote public safety, and build enduring mutual trust.
Brettet made the statement when he led officers and men of the College during the activities marking Day One of the National Police Day 2026 celebration in Oji, Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu state.
The Day One activities featured sanitation, environmental clean-up exercise carried out at the Oji River Local Government Secretariat, Okeffi Motor Park and its environs all within Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The initiative was aimed at promoting environmental hygiene and strengthening community engagement.
Activities commemorating the National Police Day will continue on today, March 31, 2026 with a walkathon across Oji River urban and its environs, designed to foster closer interaction between the Police and members of the public.
The Commandant expresses deep appreciation to the good people of Oji River for their impressive turnout and active participation in the event held across various locations.
