Aguleri celebrates 23rd Ovala festival in style

The Traditional Ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Christopher Idigo, has celebrated the 23rd Ovala festival.

Igwe Idigo celebrated the Ovala at Ama Igwe Aguleri and called for issue based campaigns in the coming 2019 general elections.

He decried the marginalization of Ndi Igbo in the scheme of things in the Country.

He called on the federal government to show more Commitment in executing the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway and the second Niger Bridge projects  as well as improve education funding, among other infrastructures in the region.

The Monarch condemned the crisis rocking different quarters of the Country, urging the federal government to take drastic steps to address them.

The theme for this year’s Ovala is ,”Aku Eluvego Uno”, meaning that wealth has started to make their way home.

Governor Willie Obiano who was at the ceremony commended Igwe Idigo for his peaceful disposition that has enthroned peace in his Community and neighbouring Communities.

The celebration is also the 119th Ovala Aguleri.
