Aguata Council Boss seeks prayers to stop killing of Security agents

The Transition Chairman, Aguata Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Eche Ezeibe  has called for prayers to stop the recent killing of Security agents by unknown gunmen in Anambra State and other parts of South East and South South Geo political zones of Nigeria.

Ezeibe fondly called Ijele made the call on the occasion of Grand Civic Reception organized for him by his village, Ihuekili Igboukwu as the first person to attain such a political position from the village and for the numerous achievements and projects executed by the Transaction Chairman in both Igboukwu community and the entire Council Area.

After observing a one-minute silence for the officers who lost their lives in the line of duty Hon. Ezeibe said that Aguata Local Government Area was worse hit than other parts of the State.

“It is time to pray for God’s protection. Two officers were killed at Nkpologwu, Three at Isuofia, One police station razed at Ekwulobia, Aguata have been badly affected”.

Moreover, the Chairman, Ihuekili Progressive Union (IPU) Igboukwu, Barr. Kingsley Ezeibe in his welcome address thanked Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State for appointing and retaining their kinsman as Transition Chairman saying that if calculated with regards to legal tenure of LGA chairmen Hon Dr. Eche Ezeibe would be in his second tenure.

Barr Ezeibe also enumerated the IPU four points agenda and presented the new security van procured by the union. He further called on the State Government to intervene in the village Primary health center and the Ihuekili village  road threatened by erosion. 

The IPU secretary, Mr Okechukwu Onuorah, Chairman planning committee, Mr. Anthony Anyika eulogized the achievements of the Transaction Chairman which included Women and Youths empowerment, employment, culvert and drainages construction among others.

Special dignitaries cum awardees who graced the event and who were part of the commissioning of the security vehicle and kits include Prof. Charles Soludo, former Deputy Governor, Emeka Sibeudu, Anambra Commissioner for Health, Dr. Vincent Okpala, JEZCO Oil boss, Chief Sir. Joseph Ezeokafor, Tincan Boss Ezeafunwa.
