Afara Old Students Association Commends Gov. Otti’s Visionary Leadership

The Afara Special School Old Students Association (ASSOSA) has lauded the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti Developmental strides in transforming the fortune of Abia State.
The commendation was made during a press conference held in Umuahia on Tuesday where ASSOSA praised Governor Otti’s visionary leadership, exemplary governance and commitment to the welfare of the state’s citizens, describing his efforts as a significant departure from the stagnation that had previously plagued Abia.
Rev. Dr. Kalu Ndukwe, leading the ASSOSA Executive Committee, was flanked by the Secretary Mr Ejike Ekemonye and Head of Media , Mr Chijioke Onukwue expressed profound gratitude to Governor Otti. He highlighted the Governor’s swift response to the association’s request for the rebuilding of perimeter fences and provision of a school bus for the Special Education Centre, Afara, Umuahia.
“Governor Otti’s administration has been marked by several key initiatives. The recent appointment of disabled individuals to lead the Abia State Disability Commission underscores Governor Otti’s commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities.
“The completion of major road projects, including the Umuahia-Ikote Ekpene and Aba-Owerri roads, has significantly improved connectivity and economic activities in the state. Gov. Otti also upgraded the Abia State University Teaching Hospital and the establishment of new primary healthcare centers have enhanced healthcare delivery. The digitization of the state civil service aims to increase productivity, maintain a comprehensive worker database, and ensure prompt payment of salaries,” he said.
Rev. Ndukwe noted that despite being an association of visually impaired individuals, ASSOSA members have felt the impact of Governor Otti’s achievements noting that the Governor’s actions reflect a leader dedicated to sustainable development and the betterment of all citizens.
He expressed the association’s hopes for peace, unity, and prosperity under Gov. Otti’s leadership, and for the success of the developmental projects and policies initiated by Gov. Otti’s administration.
The association extended their prayers and best wishes for continued God’s blessings, good health, protection, and divine guidance on Gov. Otti as he continues to govern Abia State effectively and justly.
