Aboji President inspects Umuafa Oba community road project urges others to emulate same

The President Aboji Akanano Union (AAU), Nze Dozie Nweke of Oba Community in Idemili South with his Entourage has embarked on the inspection of the ongoing Umuafa Aboji road project urging others to emulate same.
The road construction which is almost half a kilometer is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from the management of PACELLI Company sited in the village to give back to the people of the community.
According to Nweke, we are here to officially flag off the Umuafa road construction and let the world know the project going on in Umuafa village in Aboji Akanano of Oba Community.
“I am here with my Entourage including Aboji youth PRO, Izuchukwu Nnaemeka, Umuafa Patron, Nonso Ejibendu on official inspection to witness for myself the level of construction work going on here which is part of my clan.
“I thank God and Umuafa people. I also call on all Abojians to emulate what the Umuafa people did. Let every village within Aboji Akanano build their roads so that it would be motorable.

“We cannot rely on Government to build Community roads and construct drainages for us. We are expanding the road and dismantling buildings encroaching the road or built on drainages.
“We do not have anyone in State House of Assembly or Commissioner to attract such a project. We are doing the road by our efforts and to our taste because the roads are used by us.
“I am overwhelmed with joy. I am not keen about who is sponsoring the road construction. My concern is that Umuafa people attracted it via their Chairman, Ifeanyi Ibeabuchi and his Commander, Onochie Ejibendu,” said Nweke.
Nweke alleged that the sponsors wanted to bribe Umuafa leaders in order to back out of the road construction but thanked God that because of the leaders interest to develop the community turned down the offer.
He also commended Obinna Iyiegbu porpularly called Obi Cubana for another road he is constructing and for building the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Oba cathedral thanking him for bringing development to Aboji and Oba.
Speaking on behalf of Umuafa Chairman, Ifeanyi Ibeabuchi, the Commander Ejibendu narrated the ordeals experienced in ensuring that the Umuafa road construction commenced saying that it was out of selfless service.
“Light has come to Umuafa langidi. I was promised 10million naira but I rejected it because good name is better than money. We were persecuted but today work has commenced in earnest.
“I thank my president, Nze Nweke, Nze Ifeanyichukwu Onwupenata, Oba Youth President, Victor Uzochukwu(Mmili) and host of others who stood for us . The contractor said that the road will be completed by February ending”,Ibeabuchi.
In his remarks, the Oba Youths President, Mr. Victor Uzochukwu who said that the youths have embarked on the campaign: operation Do your village road arrated his contribution towards brokering peace within Umuafa people and between Umuafa Langidi and the investor-PACELLI.
