An online medium in Nigeria, ABN TV has retracted a caption which erroneously quoted the Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

The former Abia governor had while fielding questions from journalists during his recent visit the former Heads of State in Minna, Generals Abdulsalami Abubakar and Ibrahim Babangida said if elected President in 2023, he would turn the country’s economy to a 21st century economy.

ABN TV however in a publication titled ‘If Nigerians Make Me President, I’ll Build a 20th Century Economy — Kalu’ misquoted the former Abia governor. In a retraction issued by the management of the organisation on Saturday, it noted that it holds Sen. Kalu in a high esteem and would not have intentionally rolled out a publication to disparage him or his personality.
