EFL: Bristol City sacks manager after 1:0 defeat

English club, Bristol City, on Saturday, sacked their manager, Lee Johnson, following their 1-0 home defeat against Cardiff City in the Championship today.

Bristol City made this known in a statement via thier official website.

Lee Johnson was this evening relieved of his role as Bristol City Head Coach,” a club statement read.

“Current Assistant Head Coach Dean Holden will take over immediately in a caretaker capacity as the club looks to appoint a successor.”

Bristol are currently occupying the 12th position on the Championship table with 55 points from 41 matches.
