One Million March: Arodiogbu Declares Imo Settled For Tinubu
By Felix Oti, back from Owerri
The streets of Owerri came alive today, Saturday 10th October 2026, as throngs of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters staged a massive One Million Man March in solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The colourful procession, which converged at key points in the Imo State capital including Dan Anyiam Stadium, featured party faithful from across the 27 local government areas. Participants waved party flags, brandished placards bearing the President’s image, and chanted slogans affirming unwavering support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of the March, the National Vice Chairman (South-East) of the APC, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, declared that the political direction of Imo State had been decisively settled in favour of President Tinubu and the APC.
“It is settled. Imo belongs to Tinubu. Imo belongs to the APC,” Dr. Arodiogbu stated emphatically. “The people of Imo have seen the dividends of progressive governance under Governor Hope Uzodimma and the federal administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. There is no going back.”
The APC South-East leader, who has been at the forefront of mobilising the zone for the President’s re-election, praised the massive turnout as clear evidence of the party’s dominance in the state. He urged party members at every level from wards to local governments to deliver total victory for APC candidates in the presidential, National Assembly, and State Assembly elections.
Dr. Arodiogbu described Governor Hope Uzodimma as “the strength of the APC in Imo State” and credited the Governor’s infrastructural transformation, security improvements, and people-oriented policies for consolidating the party’s grip on the state. He also highlighted federal projects and the Renewed Hope Agenda as reasons the South-East, and Imo in particular, would reward President Tinubu with bloc votes in 2027.
The march forms part of intensified grassroots mobilisation by the Imo APC. It coincides with the recent handover of branded campaign vehicles by Governor Uzodimma to party structures across the state, aimed at driving door-to-door sensitisation and ensuring maximum voter turnout for the APC.
Party stakeholders at the event, including state executives and local government chairmen, echoed the call for unity and hard work. They insisted that Imo has become a stronghold of the APC and that the state would deliver a resounding victory for President Tinubu.
As the procession wound through the streets of Owerri, the message remained consistent and loud: Imo has chosen its path and that path is firmly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress.
