Day 2: AIG Emmanuel Simon Bretet leads walkathon,Promotes fitness,community engagement.

The Commandant of Police College Oji River, AIG Emmanuel Simon Bretet, psc(+), mspsp, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, led officers and men of the College on Day Two activities marking the 2026 National Police Day celebration.
The fifteen kilometers (15km) exercise commenced from the main gate of the Police College and proceeded through major routes within Oji River urban, including the bustling market road, aimed at enhancing police visibility and strengthening community engagement.

The event, a walkathon (walking exercise), had in attendance the Chairman of Oji River Local Government Area of the state and some market stakeholders.
According to the commandant, It was aimed at enhancing police visibility and strengthening community engagement.
Addressing officers , community leaders, and market stakeholders during and at the end of the exercise, the Commandant emphasized that physical fitness remains vital to health and operational efficiency.

He reiterated that the National Police Day celebration provides a platform to showcase the professionalism, resilience, and community-oriented approach of the present regime of the Nigeria Police Force led by IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM.
Residents and traders within Oji River commended the initiative, highlighting its positive impact on police-community relations and the reassurance it brings to the public.
The activities marking the National Police Day celebration will continue on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, with a free medical outreach scheduled to take place at Enugu-Aku in Oji River Local Government Area
