Awka Diocese To Host 1000 Women For 2026 Rubby ADWOC, As Reverend Engr Anaemena Dissects Sowing Seeds-Little Chidubem Ifeakachukwu Ekwealor Celebrates One Year

Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Awka’s 2026 Rubby Awka Diocesan Women Conference,ADWOC, will be hosted by the Church of The Holy Spirit Awka. The conference will host several Archbishops, Bishops and their wives including about 1000 women across Nigeria for 4 days.

The Archdeacon, CHS Awka Archdeaconry, Ven.Dr. Onyeka Egwuonwu who announced this during the pick a seed envelope for 2026 Covenant seed sunday. He announced that the Church will host about 120 Anglican Children Ministry teachers on 30th January, 2026 just as the Mothers Union of the Diocese had its rededication at UNIZIK Chapel of Redemption Awka last Sunday, February 2.

Just as the family of Architect Chiemeka and Mrs Amara Promise Ekwealor went to the altar to thank God for their son Chidubem Ifeakachukwu Ekwealor who was dedicated to God during his one year birthday thanksgiving.

A one year birthday bash was later celebrated at NUMAC hotels Awka amidst pomp and ceremony.
At the altar, Ven.Dr Onyeka Egwuonwu presented the little Chidubem to the altar of God, dedicating him and praying for good health, long life and wisdom of God. He asked God to bless the parents abundantly to be able to take care of them.

The Church of The Holy Spirit Awka Priest Assistant, Reverend Augustine Otiji who prayed for the child and family, asked for blessings without pains and train up the child in the fear of God.

At the sermon, Reverend Engr. Chijioke Anaemena who spoke extensively on sowing seeds reminded that God should not be given grudgingly, or by complaining but freely and cheerfully.

Reverend Anaemena
preaching under the theme ‘ the faith that works’, pointed out God’s principles for uplifting His children hence we shall diligently seek Him and sow seeds as seeds unlock successes and gives victories.

He noted that when it comes to financial prosperity, prayers alone don’t do it but with sowing seeds because seed sowing is a spiritual principle not about church.

Reverend Anaemena who is the chaplain of Federal Science and Technical College, Awka warned against partners who don’t understand seasons of God to avoid cutting one off, God’s blessings and grace.

He encouraged Christians to take actions and manifestations in line with the faith of Abraham as it helps one to claim Abraham’s blessings.

He added that seed sowing brings transgenerational blessings for the children of God, praying for Christians to always be in God’s season and timing in all they do for limitations shall be out of their way.
He encouraged Christians to ensure words of God do not depart from their mouths as anything Christians do outside God won’t yield good success for it’s only in God that we have good success.

Reverend Anaemena pointed out that the most controversial aspect of the teaching in the church is finance adding that true wealth comes from God.
