End of Boko Haram in sight, assures Borno government

Maj.-Gen. Saidu Audu, commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), told Borno Governor Babagana Zulum that the end of Boko Haram and allied groups in the Lake Chad region is near.

Audu highlighted a strategic plan targeting insurgent enclaves and pledged sustained operations to restore peace. Zulum reaffirmed state support and urged intensified deployments on Lake Chad islands to deny terrorists safe havens.
