Katsina State has deployed eight additional Armoured Personnel Carriers, raising its fleet to 43—the largest in the northwest—to intensify the fight against banditry.

Acting Governor Faruk Jobe urged communities to support security agencies with intelligence, describing a recent mosque attack in Malumfashi LGA as “barbaric.” He said the state remains the most equipped in the region and is seeking more federal support to tackle the security challenge.
