Ozo Jeff Nweke the Governorship candidate of action alliance (AA) in the forthcoming November 8th governorship election in Anambra state has promises that he is going to tackle poverty, wipe out excessive taxation of low income earners as well as improves on welfare of common citizens of the state by giving priority to various impactful welfare programmes and policies that will turn around the welfare of entire citizens for better.
Making these promises as well as others while speaking during a recent unveiling of his programmes and manifestoes to party supporters held at Awka, Nweke an astute business mogul noted that he is pained by the sufferings of the poor in the state as a result of non interest in their plight by the existing government in the state hence his resolve to make himself available to change the fortunes of the down trodden, poor, indigents, disables, low income earners etc in the state.
throwing more insights on his programmes, he said he is going to tackle poverty vigorously through establishment of several effective welfare programmes that will create jobs for teaming youths, women and others as well as putting in place empowerments that will empower the vulnerable in the state especially women, youths, elderly, disabled etc.
Explaining further,he stated that if elected that he will abolish multiple taxation to protect common citizens and roadside traders, hawkers, keke, bus, tipper drivers among others.
While criticizing the existing government in the state of over taxation of the common citizens ,he assured again that if elected that he is going to govern with human face as a lot of things that contribute to hardship will be reviewed for life to be easy for all in the state.
Said he, “if I am elected, I will rule with the fear of God and will adopt an open door policy, I will abolish all these taxation been collected from low income earners as well as excessive IGR levies been collected inside all states market, I will also give security maintenance utmost priority attention, I am going to remove all indices that promotes insecurity and fight insecurity with creation of jobs, empowerments as well as pursue aggressive agricultural programs,free health care deliveries, sports developments to discover abundant hidden talents among state youths etc”.
