Flight Lieutenant Kafayat Sanni, Nigeria’s first female fighter pilot, has made history again by emerging as the Best Allied Student and winning the Best Assistant Commandant Paper award at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), Accra.

The Nigerian Air Force’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, noting that the awards were presented during the college’s graduation ceremony, attended by senior military officers and dignitaries from across Africa.

Sanni first gained national recognition in 2019 when she became the NAF’s first female fighter pilot after completing training in the United States. Since then, she has flown the Alpha Jet and served as an instructor pilot on the Super Mushshak, mentoring younger pilots.
