Chief Dr. Christopher Ezeh – Christopher University, Mowe, Ogun State Chief

Christopher Ezeh hails from Igboukwu in Aguata LGA of Anambra State.Chief Eze is the former GMD of John Holt and former Chairman Fidelity Bank. He sits on the board of over 20 quoted companies boardroom leader.

Christopher University is a private university located in Mowe, Ogun State along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. It was licensed by NUC and mentored by the University of Lagos.
The university was conceived in 2003 to bridge the gap between industry and academia. The founder focuses on management science and producing “ready-made manpower” for the professional world.
The university also runs schools of Allied Health, Sciences, Business Studies, Law, Technology and Social Sciences and matriculated 184 students for the 2025/2026 session.

Hon. Evangelist Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu – European University of Nigeria, Abuja

Nicholas Ukachukwu is an Anambra-Born businessman, industrialist, philanthropist, and politician from Osumenyi, Anambra State. He built the SNECOU Group with interests in construction, real estate, and education. He is also APC’s candidate for the 2025 Anambra Governorship election.

European University of Nigeria (EUN) is a NUC-accredited private university established in 2022 and located in Abuja. The goal of the university is to provide affordable, world-class education in Nigeria to reduce studying abroad and to be a research-driven institution.
At its maiden matriculation, Ukachukwu announced a ₦50 billion research endowment fund to support innovation in medicine, pharmacy, ICT and other technical fields.

Sir Paul Chukwuma – Olivia University, Bujumbura, Burundi

Sir Paul Chukwuma is an Anambra-born philanthropist, lawyer, and former APC National Auditor. He is also Pro-Chancellor of Benue State University.

Olivia University Bujumbura (OUB) in Burundi, East Africa. It is described as an English-speaking university, the first of its kind in East Africa.
The university was Founded to provide quality education for Nigerians and Africans. The Pro-Chancellor endowed scholarships for pioneer students in Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing, with students paying only half tuition. The university promises uninterrupted academic calendar and world-class lecturers.
He is also founder of Olivia University of Medical Sciences proposed for Anambra State, in his community, Umueri

Dr. Godwin Maduka – Transatlantic University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Umuchukwu, Anambra

Dr. Godwin Maduka, also called “Okosisi Orumba”, is a Nigerian-American doctor, businessman and philanthropist. He founded the Las Vegas Pain Institute and Medical Center in the US.

The University: Transatlantic University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Umuchukwu, Anambra State. The NUC issued its operational licence in recently, clearing it to commence.
The university aims to redefine medical education, scientific research and healthcare innovation in Nigeria and transform Anambra into a hub for medical education. It was built to combat “japa” syndrome and medical tourism that costs Nigeria an estimated $1 billion yearly.
The campus includes a 17-storey building, the tallest in the Southeast and South-South, and will run 3 faculties with 17 accredited programmes in pharmacy, dental, nursing, radiology technology and other allied health courses.

Late Msgr. Prof. Johnbosco Akam – Tansian University, Umunya, Anambra*
Very Rev. Msgr. Prof. Johnbosco Uchechukwu Akam was a Catholic priest, scholar, philosopher and theologian who spoke 6 international languages. He was a native of Uga in Anambra State and passed away on February 5, 2021.

Tansian University (TANU) is a private Christian university located in Umunya, Oyi LGA, Anambra State. It was founded by John Bosco Akam and licensed by NUC on May 17, 2007.

Named after Blessed Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi, the first West African to be beatified, the philosophy of the University is to breed new ideas and fresh solutions.
Through his Johnbosco Akam Education Foundation since 1985, he trained over 2,000 indigent students. He also established schools from kindergarten to secondary level. He was widely regarded as an exemplar of “Aku Lue Uno” for siting the university in Anambra.

Dr. Leonard Nkameme is from Okija in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.

He is the Founder and Pro-Chancellor of Legacy University.

He started the university project in 2008.

Legacy University Started small and had 70 students at the 4th matriculation in 2019/2020. By 2024/2025 it matriculated over 100, and in 2025 over 400 students.
All 12 initial courses were fully accredited by NUC, and by 2025 it had over 95% accreditation status.
New programmes approved include Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Cyber Security, Public Health Sciences, History & International Relations, and Software Engineering. Plans for a Faculty of Medicine and Surgery are underway..
