500 retirees get N500M gratuity from Nasarawa Government

Nasarawa State Government has commenced the payment of N500 million gratuity to 500 retirees in the state.

Abdullahi Sani – Osaze, Director general Nasarawa State Pension Bureau stated this in an interview with newsmen during the electronic payment of gratuity to retirees on Friday in Lafia.

According to the Director General, following the release of N500 millions by His by Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule as part of gratuity payment, they were starting the payment exercise in batches until they finish paying.

He commended Gov. Sule for prioritsing retirees welfare in the state.

Osaze, however, appealed to the retirees for continuous support and cooperation with the current administration under the leadership of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.

“We are starting the payment exercise today, we are paying in batches until we finish and the first batch is up to 500 retirees,” he said.

Speaking to newsmen, Alh. Ibrahim Usman, Secretary of Union of Pensioners, Nasarawa State Chapter, expressed appreciation to the Gov. Abdullahi Sule for keeping to his promise.

Usman, while promising Union’s continuous support of the present administration under the leadership of Gov Abdullahi Sule, appealed to the state government to sustain the payment.
