4th Synod: Bishop Ikeakor visits Igwe Umennajiego

The Anglican Bishop of Amichi Diocese has paid a courtesy visit on HRH. Igwe Francis Umennajiego, Ezeohazurume 1 of Unubi as the third  session of the fourth synod of the Diocese kicked off in Unubi.

Bishop Ikeakor in company with his wife, Dame Nkem Ikeakor, Chancellor of the Diocese, Hon. Justice G.C Anulude, Archdeacons and other Diocesan officials prayed for the traditional ruler, his wife and his cabinet members. He condoled with the traditional ruler over the death of his daughter.

Bishop Ikeakor encouraged Igwe and his cabinet to uphold the principle of justice and uprightness noting that Unubi as a community will experience tremendous process when the rulers rule with the fear and honour of God.In keeping with his tradition, Bishop Ikeakor presented a copy of the Holy Bible to the traditional ruler.

Bishop Ikeakor pledged to continue to work very closely with the traditional institution to promote development in communities around the diocese. He informed the traditional ruler of the Diocese’s intention to establish a College of Education in any community within the Diocese. The Bishop said that the school will be cited in any community that volunteers enough land to the church.

In his response, Igwe Umennajiego commended Bishop Ikeakor for his steadfastness in working for a better society using the platform of the church. He assured that Unubi community will continue to partner with the Diocese of Amichi in all her noble projects. He prayed for the success of the synod.
