2027: Obi-Kwankwaso Movement Gains Ground in Awka South as Ijele Nibo Emerges Coordinator

The Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement has strengthened its grassroots structure in Anambra State with the appointment of Prince Paul Ogudo (Ijele Nibo), as Coordinator for Awka South Local Government Area.
Ogudo’s appointment was announced on Thursday, September 24, 2026, during a strategic meeting held at Toga Fashion House in Awka, where coordinators for the 21 local government areas of the state were also unveiled.
The appointments form part of the movement’s ongoing efforts to establish a coordinated grassroots structure across Anambra State ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
As Awka South Coordinator, Ogudo is expected to oversee the movement’s activities across the local government area, with responsibilities including community engagement, mobilisation and communication of its political message.
According to the movement, its organisational structure is aimed at taking its message from the state level to local government areas, wards and communities, with emphasis on grassroots participation and engagement.
Today’s meeting also provided an opportunity for members and newly appointed coordinators to discuss strategies for strengthening the movement’s presence across communities in the state.
With coordinators now designated across the 21 local government areas, the movement is seeking to establish a more defined organisational framework for its activities at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 general elections.
