2024: Expect development, progress in all sphere for Nigeria – Prophet Ofodile

Prophet Ikenna Ofodile, The Founder and Leader, City of Salvation International Ministries, Onitsha in Anambra state, has predicted that 2024 will be a peaceful and prosperous year for Nigeria, urging citizens to be patient and await God’s intervention.

Ofodile who spoke shortly after receiving an award from the Vice National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, South East zone, Comrade Emma Ifesinachi, during the weekend, assured that the nation will witness development and progress in all spheres of life.

According to him, whatever that is happening across the country, including insecurity, economic hardship, high cost of living, corruption, unemployment etc, will surely come under control with time.

He further argued that even though there are some bad eggs within the society who contributes in denting image of Nigeria locally and internationally, counselled the citizenry not to give up.

Going spiritual, Ofodile contended that a mother who gave birth to a bad child can’t throw away the child, but rather she will continue to nurture him or her for a better change in life. 

He called on leaders, especially the politicians to always show good examples by doing the right things and help improve lives of the masses.

He strongly warned against discrimination, subjugation and acts of injustice against anyone, saying that, “The country belongs to all, … we need prayers.

“We are praying God to better Nigeria, praying for changes in character, attitude and behaviour towards one another, no matter where you come from.

“We pray that God speak and touch our community and political leaders to show concern, plan for a better Nigeria as well as peaceful environment. 

“2024, everybody should be prepared for it. Even though things won’t come easy, we are hoping for the best in 2024. I believe it will be a better year for all.

“Youths have lost hope in the family, churches, leaders and the country. We should help to rebuild their lives. We should start from our homes to educate

them, things will be better, 

Earlier, the National Vice President, NUJ,

Southeast zone, Comrade Emma Ifesinachi, said that Prophet Ikenna Ofodile was presented the award of Patron and Spiritual Director because of his fervent prayers and contributions to the development of Union.

“We look forward to your support especially in the area of prayers for the union, members and general development, as well as advice on the way forward”, Ifesinachi said.
