2023: I’ll offer Awka North/ South constituency quality representation it deserves – Ekweozor

All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, chieftain and aspirant in the 2023 general election, High Chief Azubuike Ekweozor has pledged to usher quality representation to his constituents if elected to represent Awka North/South at the Federal House of Representatives.

Ekweozor made the pledge on Saturday when he played host to Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra state council executive led by the state Chairman, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD at his Umuawulu palatial home.

He decried selfishness of some leaders elected to represent the people because according to him, they denied people effective and quality leadership overtime. He, however, stressed that time was right to elect individuals who would be ready to sacrifice personal interest and gains for the common good of all.

“Leaders representing us at the legislative house are selfish. What they are there is to secure their personal interest, their private business and for the good of those within their clique. that is why they don’t solve people’s problem.

“The people suppose to feel the impacts of leaders representing them. When leaders are doing well, the people know because their score cards would be visible for all to see.”

The Umuawulu born philanthropist and Chairman Tin Can Island Port Chapter of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF)  said his quest to represent his people is not for personal gains but to correct wrongs and anomalies in the society.

He continued: “My initiative is beyond peoples expectation. People will be surprised at the level of impact I would make at the house of representatives. I have impacted lives with the little God has given to me and will continue to use every opportunity He gives me to help humanity.”

The maritime expert and business tycoon pledged that his election into the green chamber would bring massive redemption to the maritime industry and give sons of the state, who are known for their business exploits, a voice to speak in maritime matters.

He also assured to combine legislative tools and his experience in the industry to revive businesses which had failed due to the poor administrative policies in the maritime industry.

In a remark, Anambra NUJ council Chairman, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD, lauded the aspirant for his huge philanthropic gestures in the society and assured that the Union would not relent in giving visibility to anyone who has the true intention of impacting positively in the lives of people.

In a vote of thanks, Comrade Ngozi Obileri described Chief Ekweozor a as person with human heart and noted that he had contributed immensely to societal development and wellbeing of people.
