.. Peter Obi seeks Royal blessings from Anambra monarchs

Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has called on all the Traditional rulers of Anambra State to use their wide connections to inform all Nigerians in the country and in diaspora that their son Peter Obi,Okwute Ndi Igbo is earnestly contesting to become the next President of Nigeria come 2023 general elections.
He made the call yesterday at Government house, Awka during a paley with all the monarchs of Anambra State Council of Traditional rulers and the Presidents General from Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU).
Speaking during the event which was Peter Obi’s first official declaration of his intentions to vie for the post of President of Nigeria. He decried the state of insecurity, disunity and economic decadence in the country promising to use his experience both in the private, public and State Government to reconstruct and reconfigure Nigeria.
“As my fathers, I am here to inform you and get your blessings. I am aspiring for the post of President of Nigeria. I will earnestly contest for the number one seat of this country all the way.
“After deligently studying Nigeria, I discovered that Nigeria is at the lowest ebb.
” I believe in Nigeria. I will lead a Government that will unite Nigeria, manage the Nigeria limited resources effectively and efficiently for maximum production. I want Sokoto secured as well as Onitsha, Borno secured as well as Enugu.
“I did it in Anambra. I will provide jobs for youths. I have managed resources effectively and efficiently.I will turn Nigeria from a consumption State to a productive State, from wastage to savings.
However, in their respective speeches, Igwe Sunday Okafor of Okpuno who represented Igwe Alfred Achebe the Chairman, Anambra State council of traditional rulers, Igwe Chukwuemeka Eri the Eze-Akajiofor Igboland of Aguluotu Aguleri, Igwe Alex Onyido of Ogidi, BOT APGA, Ogilisi Igbo Remmy Ezeonwuka, Presidents General of Oba and Owerre-ezukala, Rev Chris Emelie and Barrister Sir Anayo Emejue respectively described Mr. Peter Obi as the most qualified candidate for the number one citizen’s job who has all it takes to fix the present woes the country is facing.
They called on other political parties and other geographical regions to ensure that only a president from Igbo extraction becomes the next president of Nigeria.
Other dignitaries present include, Senator Uche Ekwunife, House of Representatives members, Hon Obinna Chidoka and Chief Chinedu Onwuaso for Idemili North & South and Awka North & South respectively.
