2023 election: It’s turn of Dunukofia to profit from FG projects –  Anambra stakeholders demand equity

Some Stakeholders in Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anoacha Federal Constituency  in Anambra State, under the umbrella of Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anoacha Constituents Stakeholders, Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anoacha Constituents Youth Council and Anambra Youth Promoters Assembly, over the weekend, staged a peaceful solidarity protest to demand Justice, fairness and equity in Nigeria’s democratic process.

The stakeholders demanded that for the sake of equity, the people of Dunukofia Local Government Area should be allowed to produce the next lawmaker for the Federal Constituency, to enable them benefit also from President Mohammadu Buhari’s led-Federal Government projects.

According to them, since the inception of Democracy in Nigeria, in 1999, Dunukofia LGA, has never produced a House of Representative member, as demanded by the country’s democracy sharing formula.

So, therefore, it is the turn of Dunukofia LGA to benefit from the Federal Government projects, by allowing one of the sons of the Council Area, Honourable Laurence Ezeudu, to represent the Federal Constituency in the 2023 general election, after being in a supportive page for 23 years.

The Paradise News gathered that the Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency is currently under the representation of Honourable Dozie Nwankwo, on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), from Enugwu-Kwu in Njikoka Council Area.

Spokeperson of the solidarity groups, Comrade Cornel Ilokolobia, while addressing a cheering crowd at the Dunukofia residence of the Lawmaker, representing Dunukofia State Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon, Ezeudu, in their continuation of the group’s constuents engagement ahead of the 2023 election, appeal to the Lawmaker to contest the position to represent their interest at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly Abuja.

He told the Lawmaker that the future of the people of Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Constituency would be brighter under his representation as an All Progressive Congress (APC), a lawmaker.

“For 23 years, Dunukofia people have being in a supportive page for Njikoka and Anoacha Council Areas respectively; now is the turn of Dunukofia to test the seat as well, and also benefits from the Federal Government Constituency projects.

According to him, °In accordance with unanimous agreement on equity, fairness and principle of rotation, it’s Dunukofia’s turn to produce the next House of Representatives member.

°Having witnessed your practical representation as a two time House of Assembly member and how you have been consistent with the needs and yearnings of others, we are begging you to come and replicate your good deeds here in the State Assembly by obliging to serve in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

°We are aware that the job requires stellar level of education, tried and trusted degree of related hands-on experience, high moral character and spiritual maturity, having accessed other aspirants and a thorough search in the whole constituency, we insist on your representation because you have all it takes to bring fair, effective representation and sustainable development to our dear constituency.

“So, on behalf of the groups, I am using this opportunity to appeal to Njikoka and Anoacha constituents in respective of political and religion placement, to support and allow Dunukofia to produce the next representative, for the sake of Justice, Fairness and Equity, Ilokolobia stressed.

While appreciating the groups, for the peaceful solidarity, Hon. Laurence Ezeudu, promised to informed them of his 2023 political position, shortly after the completion of his consultation tour across stakeholders in the Constituency.

Thousands of APC supporters lead by Chief Sam Onyegbunam and Hon.Iyke Oliobi (Ikemba), were also present during the solidarity match.
