A 20- year old man, Abeeb Adediran, was on Wednesday sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan for trafficking 7.5kg of  Cannabis.

Delivering judgment, Justice Uch Agomoh said that she convicted Adediran based on the overwhelming evidence tendered against him by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

“The NDLEA has proved its case beyond the reasonable doubt that the convict has committed the offence, judging by the confessional statement and other exhibits tendered before the court.

“This judgment will therefore, serve as a deterrent to others thinking of going into drug trafficking as an option, because nemesis will also catch up with them.
