Ten thousand persons are to benefit from the free medical services being packaged by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Anaocha, Dunukofia Njikoka Federal Constituency in Anambra State Mr Elijah Onyeagba


To this end members of the Federal Constituency are to be provided with medicament in all types of illness and those that would be referred to specialist hospitals would be assisted with some empowerment in the process.

Elijah Onyeagba, who recently held a town hall meeting with stake holders of the constituency, had earlier announced that his mission in the National Assembly is selfless adding that he will be a servant leader.

A breakdown of the medical mission indicates that the elderly, between the ages of 60 and above, will be attended to first before others.


Chief Patrick Egolum, the Director-General of the Onyeagba Campaign Organisation, Friday, told newsmen in Ukpo, Dunukofia Council that 3,300 patients will be treated in each of the three local councils in the constituency.


Egolum said the outreach, which was in conjunction with Mercy Hour Foundation, Abuja, will also distribute medicine to the Primary Healthcare Centres across the 22 communities in the area.


He said the project was in furtherance of outreach culture of the benefactor and to raise awareness of his candidacy ahead of the February elections.

According to the Director General, the outreach will hold in eight centres of Obu-Umunri, Abagana, Ukpo, Umudioka, Afor-Igwe, Agulu, Nri and Neni.


“Our candidate being a man with great vision, who understands the plight of the masses, has decided to reach out to the elderly and youths in the constituency in the area of medical needs.
“After the conclusion of this outreach, we shall deliver drugs that will last for the next six months in all the health centres in the constituency.


“He has been doing this, it is not about election, it is about the good and well being of our people, we wish to capture 10,000 patients in this exercise,” he said.
