The Chairman of Onitsha Printing Paper Dealers Association
( OPPDA) Woliwo Market Onitsha, Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nze Izuchukwu Chiadikobi Ifegbo has passionately appealed to the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to prevail on their members to relocate to the new site of their Market.

Ifegbo, flanked by his executives equally solicited the Special Adviser to Professor Soludo on Market, Chief Sir Everist Ubah and President-General of Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association   (ASMATA), Chief Humphrey Anuna to as well look into the situation and development of Stationaries Market woliwo.

He said that Stationaries Market Woliwo popularly known as “Ogboakwukwo” Woliwo in Onitsha North Local Government Area has been fully commenced business activities but their only worry is that their members refused to join them.

Nze Ifegbo praised Soludo for his transformative governance in the State which he said Professor Soludo has determined to reposition Anambra State especially Markets, appealing to him to prevail on the stationary dealers who are still operating at New Market Road and Okwe Street to relocate to their new site and occupy their shops instead of operating along the street.

The Afunwa-elotanna as he fondly called explained that the administration of Professor Soludo has settled all the pending litigations which scared away some of their members, saying that some litigations were settled through Court process and outside the court.

” So, all we are pleading with the Governor is to give order to those who are still trading along New Market Road and Okwe street to relocate because 80% of them are our members and they have shops at Ogboakwukwo Woliwo Market”

We want the Market to be booming more than before. It would accommodate both people dealing on empty cartons and Stationaries. Therefore, Government, please help us because we can not take law into our hands”

“I believe that through Government authority, all these traders blocking the street along New Market and Okwe street should vacate immediately with assurance that they would not encounter further challenges from the contractor. I also believed that Chief Sir Ubah would use his good office to assist us in this situation. Also, as a Special Adviser to Soludo on Market if he approach those people, they would obey him” Nze Ifegbo concluded.
