UNIZIK Library & Information Science Dept Partners TCC Africa for Capacity Building Workshop

The Department of Library and Information Science, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, will partner Training Centre in Communication (TCC) to host a capacity building workshop for the varsity academic community.

The one-day workshop, themed “Using Open Access Research Solutions to Improve the Academic Lifecycle for the Academic Community,” will be held virtually on Zoom, Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, at 10 am.

The workshop will have in attendance key stakeholders of the institution including the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof Joseph Ikechebelu; University Librarian, Prof Stella Ngozi Anasi; Dean Faculty of Education, Prof Ebele Okigbo; and the Head of Library and Information Science department, Dr Obiora Udem.

Others expected at the event are Joy Owango, executive director at TCC Africa; and Nicholas Outa, TCC Africa Trainer, among many others.

www.odogwublog.com reports that the workshop is expected to be a resounding success, with participants looking forward to learning new things including how to navigate Open Access resources, manage citations, and amplify research impact.
