The UK will begin issuing digital eVisas to Nigerians applying for study and work visas from July 15, 2025, replacing traditional passport visa stickers. Announced by the British High Commission, the move aims to modernise and streamline immigration processes.

Applicants must still visit Visa Application Centres for biometrics, but will receive visa decisions and eVisa access via a UKVI account. Visitor and dependant visas will continue using the existing vignette system for now.
