Soludo Reassures Of Enabling Environment For SMEs

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for Small and Medium-scale Enterprises, SMEs, to thrive across Anambra State.
Government House Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that Governor Soludo, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, made the remark at the International Convention Center, Awka, during the State Action Session on Business Enabling Reforms, SABER; a technical session and statewide town hall meeting that attracted business owners from various parts of the state.
Addressing the participants and representatives from Abuja, Governor Soludo highlighted ongoing efforts by his administration to support the growth of SMEs, including the provision of soft loans to small business operators, improved security measures and other reforms aimed at boosting business operations in the state, and assured that more initiatives are underway to position Anambra as a leading business hub in Nigeria.
In his remark, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Small Business Agency, ASBA, Sir Clement Chukwuka, emphasized the importance of transparency and honesty by loan applicants, urging prospective beneficiaries to maintain transparency, accuracy and consistent banking records to enable easy access to the Anambra State Government-supported loans, which he described as the best of their kind in the country.
