Rivers Administrator Presents ₦1.48trn Budget, Cites Sabotage

Rivers State Sole Administrator, Ibok-Ete Ibas, has presented a ₦1.48 trillion 2025 budget to the House of Representatives, pledging infrastructure revival and social investment.
He accused suspended officials of withholding data, hampering budget planning. The proposal, backed by presidential approval, includes ₦324.5bn for infrastructure, ₦55bn for a teaching hospital, ₦38.85bn for erosion control, and ₦117bn for pensions.
House Committee Chair Julius Ihonvbere praised the plan but promised strict scrutiny to ensure accountability and effective delivery.
