HRM Igwe Godwin Odiegwu the traditional ruler of Abacha community Idemili North LGA Anambra state has joined forces spearheaded by the Igbo apex body “Ohaneze ndi Igbo and other numerous bodies in the country to ask for Prof. Ishak Oloyede the joint admission management board (JAMB) registrar to resign quickly or for the federal government to immediately sacked him for what he described as Prof. Oloyede poor handing of the recent university admission examination conducted by the body in south east and Lagos state areas noting that this poor handling which resulted in massive failure by innocent students who sat for this examination in these areas has created a deep gap in the educational development of this two areas especially in the south east adding that whatever measure Prof. Oloyede is presently doing to ameliorate this situation is medicine after death which will be difficult to be ratified in future.
.Said the traditional ruler while speaking to journalists in his palace Umudisi village Abacha Idemili North LGA yesterday “this ugly development has created a very big gap which will be difficult to be corrected in the south east educational development growth, this ongoing antics of the JAMB registrar to downplay the problem is neither here or there, let Prof. Oloyede resign honorably now, or the government should sacked him immediately as no amount of amendment will be enough to remedy this heavy losses inflicted on south east youth future”
On the recent withdrawn bill in the national house of representative seeking to make voting compulsory in the country, he stated that he is happy that the bill has been withdrawn as it is anti fundamental rights of the people to choose which is enshrined in the Nigerian constitution. He added that he thought that what should have been the concern of our nation legislators was to come up with electoral reform that will addressed corruption in our voting system that is preventing our populace from having confidence in our elections. Speaking on Gov. Chukwuma Soludo and his current bid to be reelected for a second tenure as the Anambra state governor come November Governorship election in the state, Igwe Odiegwu an Onitsha based business mogul said Gov Soludo has done marvelously well and deserved to be re-elected for a second term in office based on this track record of quality performance in all development sectors of the state namely: construction of good roads network, educational developments, provision of quality health care, security, youth empowerments and employments, agricultural developments etc. Explaining that apart from these excellent achievements which has transformed the state that the issue of zoning arrangement which has been the catalyst for choosing a new governor in the state favours Gov Chukwuma Soludo who is from the south senatorial zone of the state which it is still its turn to complete its mandatory eight years tenure as stipulated in the zoning formular of the state. Said he again, “The previous governor Chief Wille Obiano who is from Anambra North who handed over to Gov. Soludo who is from the south senatorial zone took eight years and left so equity demand that Gov. Soludo from the south will finish the south senatorial district tenure of eight years”
