“This goes a long way to show our preparedness for the coming football season which starts with a great performance at the first tournament of the season taking place in Lagos.

“With the caliber of teams invited for the tournament by the League Management Company (LMC), I assure you it will be tough.

“The tournament will be tough, no doubt, but we have what it takes to emerge champions,” Ugwuarua said.

Also speaking, the technical adviser, Coach Abdul Maikaba, thanked the club management for their show of magnanimity and challenged the players to raise their games for the forthcoming season.

“This display by management greatly shows that they have our collective interest at heart. We must challenge ourselves to be at our best all the times, especially with the tournament taking place in Lagos and followed by the league resumption,” Maikaba said.
