President Of Anambra Ohaneze Ndigbo, Okeke-Ogene Asks Youths To Protect Public, Private Property

Youths of Igbo extraction have been urged to join hands with government and security agencies in protecting public and private infrastructure from vandalization.
Speaking in Awka, the State President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene urged them to resist any attempt of being lured into violence to destroy their future.
Our man Paul Ezeoke reports that Chief Okeke-Ogene commended Governor Willie Obiano for his proactive measures in handling the peaceful protest by youths and sustained efforts to arrest the activities of hoodlums who hijacked the protests.
He noted that Anambra youths demonstrated a high sense of maturity and responsibility throughout the exercise until it was hijacked by miscreants who infiltrated the exercise and used the opportunity to unleash mayhem.
According to Chief Okeke-Ogene, the youths made a very clear statement that highlighted inherent problems undermining the growth and development of the country including the shortcomings of the security apparatus that encourage arbitrariness especially by SARS Unit of the Nigeria Police.
He noted that the ENDSARS protests have equally sent clear signal to leaders of the need to be responsive to needs and aspiration of the mass to uplift quality of life as well as improve the welfare of security personnel to promote professionalism.
Chief Okeke-Ogene reminded youths that destruction of property will worsen the level of hunger and poverty in the land.
Meanwhile security operatives are very visible in all parts of Awka and environs as socio economic activities are gradually picking up.
