The Ogun State Government has called on residents of border towns, including Ojodu-Abiodun, Denro, Ishasi, Alagbole-Akute, Lambe, and Ijoko, to embrace proper sanitation and hygiene to maximize the benefits of newly constructed roads. Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Ola Oresanya, led a team on an environmental tour of the roads, urging residents to prevent waste dumping in drainage channels and avoid illegal wastewater disposal. He also advised households to use covered bins and patronize certified waste collectors instead of waste cart pushers. Local government chairmen Idris Olalekan Kusimo (Ifo) and Wasiu Lawal (Ado-Odo/Ota) pledged to enforce environmental laws, while community leaders promised to raise awareness to protect the new infrastructure.
